oh crap BO does call me maybe

Oh let me tell you, I'm all about these BO lip dubs and remixes. It started with that stupid LMFAO song about being sexy (my jam) and has since forged into some Canuck pop songs:

Yeah this song is killing me! In get stuck in your head and just keeps going and going and going. And baseball teams do sexy dances to it and then the Today show and Leno starting dancing too! It's one Canuck crazy thing. Woot woot.

BO, just call him maybe.

epic car dances

Wow, not sure if you heard or not but there is an epic battle of car dancing happening amongst collegiate sports teams. You know, these teammates are trapped in 15-passenger vans drive to and fro for seasonal games. It all started with this car fun by the Harvard Baseball Team:

Then all the parodies begin including the Texasssss State baseball team with bagels and the LSU Tiger girls. The madness continues and now these teams are getting creative. Then the stupid Today Show did a competition with the teams doing it NYC. For more on this check below

ANNNNNNDDDD Leno got on that and did one with the big BO and Mr. R which is pretty funny:

Now I've got that stupid Call Me Maybe song running now-stop in my head. Damn you funny youtube videos:

BO is sexy

Well this was bound to happen. I'm surprised the interwebs took this long to make it. But now we officially know that BO is sexy AND he knows it:

I don't want to get too political here…

But Mitt Romney could never pull off animal print pants.

a belated MM birthday wish

Not sure if you heard or not, but the big BO turned 50 this week. Good thing we found out about that birthday certificate awhile back, because we are now at the 50 year anniversary of BO not being born in the US. I think this sums it up pretty well:

I don't think the big BO got any Marilyn Monroe (MM) type of "Mr. President" celebration, but he is one of only 7 presidents to celebrate this milestone in office. I guess that's something, but back in the day no one lived that long :) Happy bday BO, and don't worry women still love a silver fox--I mean look at Anderson Cooper, hot.

what, there is a new food pyramid?

A couple weeks ago I was following McBetty and all those meat please folks on twitter while they were at the launching of the new food pyramid in DC. Apparently, Ms. BO was there and telling everyone what they should be eating and in what proportions. Times have changed and we are lazier, fattier, and stupider, thus necessitating a new image.

So now the new food pyramid is actually a plate. It comes with a drink and a folk. No spoon for you. And your new folk is closer to a spork than something actually usable. No side dishes or extra bowls, fattie (without the ph/). Also, it should be noted that you are no longer allowed to eat sugar or fat either. The US govt does not recommend your ho-ho's or ice cream or cake as part of your new plate:

Well good work Ms. BO. I applaud your efforts in making an easier understood, slimmed down nutritional icon that illustrates eating guidelines. However, I'm a fan of the revised plate, which features the more commonly accurate American diet:

not sure you heard, there was a royal wedding

So last Friday, not sure if you heard this, but a big royal wedding happened in London. Apparently over 2 million (insert evil pinky finger to the chin) people in the US watched and give more than two shits about the event--and this was a 4 AM start time EST. This is rivaling the amount of people who take the day off for the opening night of the Twilight movies. Talk about a serious drain on the economy, that is, if it wasn't for all the damn merchandise.

Despite these epic numbers, some people apparently didn't want to be there. Take this child for example....clearly forced to be present and not happy about it. Always a bridesmaid, never a princess. Tell me about, story of my life:

Well the fashion was amazing, as expected. Kate wore the McQueen infused dress that was both classic and modern. Nice work. Although I would have enjoyed more "gaga" inspiration. Also noteworthy were the hats, ohhhh the **womanity of british hats. I really wish those hats were an American tradition because I would totally rock out with some wirey feathered thing protruding from my melon. Seriously sexy.

Speaking of fashion, I couldn't help but notice that the Queen looked a little like JC minus the green eye shadow:

Yes the likeness is uncanny. SMOKIN!!!

The wedding went off without a hitch, and what I enjoyed the most is that it was personalized for the couple. Despite the news coverage and epic traditions, they seemed to squeak in some personal touches that was just for them. They looked so happy. Not forced or uncomfortable. I really liked this. However, it should be noted that there is no way in hell that my wedding will not have beer, even if some people think it is not "classy" enough (I say beer for everyone).

Also, THANK GOD the big BO announced the death of Bin Laden this week and not last, otherwise we would have had no wedding coverage. 10-yr-most-wanted-terrorist-killed VS. once-every-30-years-royal-wedding. Wonder who would have own the battle for the front page?

**That is for you, M & T. You're welcome.

we may need some remodeling in the Sit room

So unless you've been living in a a hole, which ironically was the opposite of where they found him, Bin Laden has been killed and the confirmation announcement came late on Sunday night. It interrupted the Celebrity Apprentice, which caused all kinds of horror, and on top of it BO kept everyone waiting while the news outlets took about 90 minutes of our lives with their top tiered "journalism". But this was good, right? I mean, I am happy not to have children where explanations of death/murder are considered good things.

BUT in the wake of the news, the WH has released some photos and one is particularly disturbing yet noteworthy of some LL comments:

  • Is this the Sit room or a sardine can? Seriously, BO barely has a seat!
  • Shouldn't BO be at the head of the table? Or maybe I've watched too many episodes of the West Wing.
  • Is anyone else concerned about the 12-yr-old peaking her head in the back? Yeah maybe she doesn't have clearance, considering she hasn't graduated from HS yet.
  • I just spotted Waldo.
  • We definitely need some remodeling done in the Sit Room where we can at least have a bigger table and chairs for everyone. Where are the TV screens? And are those computers from the 90s? Just wondering.
Also, this weekend was the typically-funny Correspondence Dinner in DC. One joke was particularly interesting now knowing this announcement. Check this video clip and BO's knowing face--a little too much smile of a guy who knew something we didn't. Love it:

some BO news

So we have had some big BO news lately....not the political, life-changing decisions he makes everyday, but more of the type that I like. Case and point, apparently the big BO started dying his hair, to scad off those pesky gray hairs that are an enviable part of being the leader of the free world. The only problem is he does it within the same day. This week whilst the Chinese president was in town there were two pictures that surfaced:

Also we learned this week that the big BO wants us to play some drinking games on Tuesday night. I got a twitter message from him stating that I should join a State of the Union party. I doubt these parties are the type I'd like to attend where we find a trend or word to do shots to. For example, years ago we did "hope" and maybe this time we could do "reach across the aisle."

Look at BO, enjoying to dye our hair and party!!! I like it.

BO is flippy flopping it up

Well this is another Presidential first!!! Over the holidays the big BO was photographed in public wearing.....my favorite......flippy flops. Wowsa, who knew he had such style. It is very exciting to see the leader of the free world sporting these fine fine $2 footwear:

So for those who don't know I'm a huge fan of the flippy flop. Like really addicted to them. I just can't wrap up my feet that much, they need to be free and out in the open. I'm not too excited about tying up my feetsies. Go free!

PS, chicken legs???

BO's invading my life

Well the big BO has been and will be invading my life all this week. Apparently he is flying down to the big Cville to make an appearance for that sexy Tommy P on Friday night. That means that Cville will be even more of a shitshow than normal with a football weekend. There will be liberals running around in Birkenstocks and then a bunch of other people with good teabags attached to their signs. Staying away from that business, and will try to use some strategry to get myself out of Cville and successfully into the district.

I also just caught up with his appearance on JonStew, in preparation for the big Rallies up in DC this weekend. The BO is one of the calmest people I've even seen. Ven-like, seriously. Here is the 60 second run down of that interview:

BO agrees, It Gets Better

It's been a rough week or two for teen suicide and bullying, specially as it relates to GLBT youth. So sad. Celebrities and bullied individuals across the world have sat down at their webcams to create personal videos for the "It gets better" campaign. Some of these videos are pretty inspiring and directed to people are in the worse part of their lives, who are teased or taunted, who don't know the outside world, who feel as if they are alone and it will never get better. Earlier this week Hillary made a video and then I think BO got some crap too, so he made it part of his weekly podcast address. Yep, it will get better....

raising awareness

I received an email this week that my fav, Snoop Dogg, was going the View. Turns out he was bummed by the big BO (you know, Presidents take priority especially when they have the highest daytime ratings EVER). But next week, apparently, you can watch the big D-O-double-G talk with the hen party about his daughter having Lupus. Here's hoping the man can get a word in edge-wise....

I don't wish Lupus on anyone but all these stars coming out to talk about the disease is only raising more awareness, and this makes me grateful. Snoop has publicly said that his daughter coming down with the chronic disease bought his family together and saved his marriage. His young daughter first starting showing signs around five years ago and is currently on meds which appear to be working.

Tune in on Friday, so check out the new issue of People for more info. And thanks Snoop, you rock for stepping out and speaking publicly.

BO is a magnet to me and my friends

So two months ago I had my first big BO sighting, which was during a weekend of amazing fun with my gay husbands. I told everyone that I got in a good reach around, and loved the drive by. Turns out that BO is a magnet for me and my friends, as Helga had a sighting in San Fran yesterday.

We were talking last night while she was riding on the cable cars and buses and subway and anything that moved home because the entire city was shut down, as if there was a big drunken marathon happening. I was getting a blow by blow detail of what type of po po were around, who had guns, and what was being yelled. I keeping notes in case someone ended up getting arrested when Helga was chancing after dudes with shades and clear ear pieces (this is why we are best friends, I typically chase people down too when I really want to talk to them, case and point, naked man on grounds). I want to be sitting in the jail cell next to you! I'm happy that you got a good sighting in, a wave, and a smile....perhaps an imaginary reach around too?
