epic car dances

Wow, not sure if you heard or not but there is an epic battle of car dancing happening amongst collegiate sports teams. You know, these teammates are trapped in 15-passenger vans drive to and fro for seasonal games. It all started with this car fun by the Harvard Baseball Team:



Then all the parodies begin including the Texasssss State baseball team with bagels and the LSU Tiger girls. The madness continues and now these teams are getting creative. Then the stupid Today Show did a competition with the teams doing it NYC. For more on this check below

Downton Abrys

Thanks to my good friend Y, I spent an entire weekend sick on the floor of her Blacksburg house watching Downton Abbey. It's amazing. I'm addicted, which given my Brits obsession is not surprising. Here is a parody which made me laugh:

If you haven't seen the show I doubt you are going to find this remotely funny but I like it. PLUS who doesn't love that one of the top shows out there right now is on PBS. Look thing those elephants didn't shut it down last year and really pull the funding. Bloody well done!

spicing up the politicko wardrobe

I have made a couple observations lately regarding our national Speaker of the House, John Boehner from the big land of O (that is Ohio, not the big O or BO). The guy has some notable fashion choices which often times go nicely with his overly tanned face. Sometimes this guy is bordering on a little George Hamilton-like tan, which frankly, no one wants to see!

But I really like John's tie swagger. He has some fancy ties and I totally dig it. He likes a little color pop, even if it may make him look alittle more feminine. Check out this selection:

I mean the guy is like a cornucopia of colorful ties! I wish more poltickos would follow in his foot steps. Politicko women get all the fun with red, pink, yellow pant suits, but the men should also be able to spice it up. Future politickos, I suggest you take a page from John's wardrobe....minus the raccoon eyes facial tan.

makes me want to join facebook

Well I can't believe I'm saying it, but today I might have had a small inclination (which was immediately squashed) to join Facebook. The reasoning??? First, the CEO announced he is donating 100 Million dollars to the NJ Public School System. HOT!!! I love that. Although I do think it might be that the "social networking" movie, which happening to shed some pretty poor light on you and your website, is coming out later this week. Nothing like joining up with some local elephants and going on the Big O to talk about how amazing you are. Well, I like you supporting education, especially in NJ school system who is only graduating 40% of students.

Second, apparently Facebook went down for two hours today. That means the world had the most productive afternoon in the last 8 years!!! Oh wait, I bet everyone just starting tweeting their thoughts. Yep, that is exactly what happened....check out one of my favorite tweets, once again showing creative and maximizing the situation (wtg, boston zipcar):
