joe the peeling guy

I watched a show this morning about "Joe the Peeling Guy" from NYC. He passed away recently and therefore people are looking at his body of work. This guy was a street vendor in NYC, and sold potato peelers for years. He only recently became an American citizen, and would dazzle a crowd with his accent and technique. Supposedly, he made millions and millions of dollars. He lived on Park Ave. and drove a BMW. But everyday he would get up, put on a suit, and sit on the street corner demonstrating his peelers.

This guy was a NY staple, sort of like a much better dressed Naked Cowboy. Apparently, now his daughter has taken over the family business and continued to sell this product. Check out Joe in all his glory, doing what he loved everyday:
