Kids are so spoiled these days. They get whatever the hell they want, whenever the hell they want it. We are such a consumer generation. I think this kids need a reality check. Enter the Jimmy Kimmel late night show.

Jimmy did a sketch in October encouraging parents to tell their children they ate their candy. This was my favorite. Now he is encourage parents to give their children crap Christmas gifts and video tape the results. Well the fun and dose of reality for their kiddos have continued into the new year:



Oh stop your crying! We need to toughen up you kids and teach you to be thankful for what you got!!! I was never like that as a child, or adolescent, I swear.

I vote for ariel

People have some pretty strong opinions and emotions about font choice. I've had two people in the last month comment on my email font choice and size...as if I care what they think. I am an ariel fan through and through and throw. You know, ariel or it is arial? OK well whichever one isn't the mermaid who could sing.

One of my tech friends mentioned to me years ago that there was a documentary movie about the font Helvetica. Apparently this movie examines "how font affects our lives" and especially the bastard son Helvetica. I can undoubtedly say that it really don't effect my, at least not in any meaningful way.

Now I hear about the new Comic Sans Project sweeping the interwebs. As their tagline states, "Helvetica is soooo 2011" and since we are two days away from 2012, I'm on board. These graphic designers are changing all your favorite telemarkerting logos and font type into the teacher-friendly comic sans. It is just so friendly and bubbly and soft....just makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

On a parting note, it is worth me mentioned I'm considering switching my email font to Chiller. It would be like Halloween or Twilight all year long. Sounds like a plan.

I agree with black, calm down

I am going to write in Lewis Black for President next November. For reals, I like his dark, angry rants that are full of straight-talking for reals commentary. Between apple juice and dancing drama, I like him. Trust me this is worth 5 minutes of your life...so angry, so correct:

why is everyone so angry?

I swear, most men in pop culture right now are sooo angry. If it isn't Mel Gibson and his heavy breathing, it is Christian Bale yelling at random people (ps, now I try to reply to people with "oooh good for you" as much as possible). You all need to take a deep breath and go take it down a notch (perhaps by your own "drug" of choice, of course).

Well the new addition to this pool of men is Charlie Sheen. He has been bordering on a good crazy for years now, but has really taken it further this week. Charlie did an interview where he talked alot of crazy and then joined Twitter to vent his spleen (ha! that is close to sheen). This, of course, is the gift that just keeps giving. Now we all can follow this semi-normal rants. For about a week now, his sayings have been trending including my personal favorite, #tigerblood. Yes, I too have tigerblood pulsing throughout my body.
