I like Taylor Swift. I do. She is great, except for all that fake, surprise, OMG I just won another award and I had no idea I'm awesome attitude she has. I mean, yes, she is grateful and all, but I seriously could just have a closed-mouth thank you at this point. Also, not dressing like you are in the era of dust bowls.
Apparently I'm not the only one that has noticed these lovely yet annoying manner in her song and life. Given the ACM's tonight in Vegas, my fav Joel McHale has put together a little parody, which in my opinion is pretty accurately funny:

more musical collaborations
I do love Taylor Swift. Well not always....OK well sort of always but not always openly. Well anyways, a new single was released this week where she is working it with the Civil Wars. If you don't know this group you totally should. They are amazing. On top of these great collaboration, the single is also for the well anticipated Hunger Games movie coming out this spring. I'm not yet obsessed with these books and so far the previews aren't doing much for me....but I do LOVE this song:

music of the moment
Well Taylor's new and third album is about to be released!! Her couple first songs off of it are pretty good. She is getting rave reviews so far. Here is "mean" which has a lovely country tune and some inspiring lyrics (i.e., mean, and pathetic, and liar, and alone in life):
Wait until you hear the one about John Mayer and about Taylor Launter.....

musical collaborations and covers
Sooo I love these cross collaborations with my favorite country artists with my favorite pop/R&B artists. It all started with this song when I was truly obsessed with Nelly and that facial bandaid, you would too if you listened to this album which mixed it up with John Mayer and Justin:
Then came this performance by Sugarland and Beyonce:
Then Taylor Swift started working with Def Leppard and T-Pain, and my brain might have exploded:
And now I heard about Reba (classic) covering another Beyonce song, which has a lovely country spin:
